ANDREW RASMUSSEN (Director/Choreographer) A Minnesota native who splits his time between Twin Cities and New York, he’s best known for producing and directing innovative theatrical projects under his independent production company - Cardinal Theatricals, including the Twin Cities premiere of Andrew Lippa’s THE WILD PARTY at the Fitzgerald Theater in 2005, which the Star Tribune hailed as “Awe Inspiring!”. Recently he returned from Europe, as Artistic Director for Norwegian Cruise Line – where he was resident Artistic Director and producer for productions such as TONY N TINA'S WEDDING, SHOUT – the mod musical, SMOKEY JOES CAFÈ, AND THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND, in addition to several holiday productions which he developed and directed. His direction/choreography has been seen across the country, including JACQUES BREL IS ALIVE AND WELL AND LIVING IN PARIS at Minicai Center and West Boca Performing Arts Center, CINDERELLA at Gateway Playhouse, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE at Bristol Riverside Theater and even THE GREAT AMERICAN HORROR MOVIE MUSICAL at Minnesota Fringe Festival (Best of Fringe). He’s been an Artistic Associate of Gateway Playhouse, Music Theatre International, and is a graduate of the Commercial Theatre Institute, sanctioned by the League of Amerian Theatres and Producers. As an actor he has been seen Off Broadway, on national tour, Radio City Music Hall - in addition to numerous regional theatres ranging from Florida Stage (Carbonell Award Nominee) to well-respected Minnesota theatres, including the Ordway, Chanhassen Dinner Theatre and Historic State Theatre.
